Air Conditioner Repair/Condensers

A/C Repair and Condensers
Your vehicles Air Conditioner system is comprised of a compressor, condenser, receiver dryer, evaporator and hoses. In order for your air conditioning system to work, it needs a gas substance called refrigerant. The condenser will then convert the refrigerant into a liquid form by cooling it. If one just one component does not work properly, then neither will your air conditioning system. Call Chippewa Auto today for your A/C repair.
Does My A/C Need Repaired?
So how do you know if an air conditioner repair is in your near future? There are several indicators that can point you in our direction for air conditioner repairs. Some indicators would be:
- If the AC air blows just a bit cooler than the air outside
- The air that blows in smells like mildew, moist, or musty
- The AC only works when driving, not when you are stopped or idling
- At the highest setting, your vents do not put out much air
Air Conditioner Condenser
There are two reasons why your air conditioner condenser will fail. The first scenario happens when your condenser starts to leak caused by the normal wear and tear to the condenser tubes and seals. Since there isn’t a way to replace the tubes and seals, a new air conditioner condenser is needed. The second scenario occurs when the condenser isn’t able to circulate the refrigerant because of a metallic debris blockage. This usually happens when the compressor fails or is defective, you will need to replace the compressor, condenser, tubes and receiver dryer.
