Brakes

Brakes Are Important

Did you know that for every 12,000 miles you drive, you use your brakes about 75,000 times?  That is why your car’s brakes are the most important safety feature on your car.  It goes without saying that when you apply your brake, you want them to be working properly!  If they are not, bring them in to see our hard working team at Chippewa Auto.  Our priority is your safety!

Brake Warning Indicators

Your brakes will give you several different kinds of indicators to let you know that they are not working properly.  If you experience any of the following indicators, you should call our team of experienced and dedicated professionals to schedule an appointment as quickly as possible.  Our goal is to make sure that all drivers are safe on the road!

  • High-pitched screeching
  • Low growling sound
  • Your car is pulling to one side
  • Front end vibration
  • Grinding sound
  • Slow response when the brake is applied

Brake Fluid

Most people do not realize that it is recommended for your brake fluid to be changed every year or two.  This is a very important part in the upkeep of your vehicle and vital in preventing unnecessary issues with your brake lines.  Over time, your brake fluid can change and absorb moisture causing your brake fluid to breakdown.  In turn, this can cause damage to your brake lines.  Just like your engine needs oil, so do your brakes!
